Atomic Mass Unit (amu)

Because of the very small mass a unit known as the atomic mass unit (amu) is commonly

used to measure the mass of fundamental particles.

1 amu = 1.66×10-27 kg

Electron Volt (eV)

Used to measure a very small amount of energy

 1 eV = 1.602×10-19 J

Kelvin (K)

Used to measure temperature.

1 K = -272.15 0C

Watt (W)

Used to measure power.

1 W = 1 J/s
